Bill Terry

Program Director, IBM Executive Briefing Center

Bill currently manages the IBM TotalStorage Executive Briefing Center in Tucson, Arizona and the IBM TotalStorage Open Software Center of Competency in San Jose, California. He and his team engage customers, system integrators, software vendors and business partners in understanding IBM’s TotalStorage offerings and solutions along with customized storage workshops, and outbound events on a worldwide scale. The newly opened centers are state of the art facilities developed by Bill and his team providing multi-media briefing rooms, dinning facilities with wireless connectivity and in room, remote and onsite demonstration capabilities of over twenty-five portfolio offerings.

Bill has over twenty five years of experience at IBM and Unisys that includes assignments in Marketing and Sales Support, Product Development, Storage Architecture, OEM Engineering, Program Management, System Test and Product Assurance.

Bill began his career with IBM at Tucson as Director of Engineering in 1999 and has responsible for Enterprise and Midrange Disk Subsystem Development and OEM technical relations. He was directly involved in the early definition and development of the SVC.

Bill career at Unisys included assignments as Vice President of Storage Development, Network Software and strategic product planning. He also served development assignments in midrange and entry servers and headed host bus adapter development along with tours of duty in Quality, Program Management, and Product Support.

Bill enjoys a strong work ethic and has enjoyed all of his previous assignments both those of a business and technical nature. He is activity involved with three of our largest base storage accounts as the storage advocate for Colgate, ADP and UPS; he finds this work some of his most personally satisfying activity.

Bill has a Bachelors of Science degree for the University of LaVerne and additional studies at the Stanford/AEA, Executive Management Program, the University Of Pennsylvania Wharton School Of Business, Executive Program and attending the MIT/Sloan School of Management, Executive Finance program.
